Personnel Board

Purpose: To provide guidance and establish standards on personnel policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws.

Highlights/Accomplishments:

  • Personnel Board had a full membership this year.
  • Revised and set employee review time line for this year.
  • Re-used updated review process to include more formal input collection and provide each staff member with a written review
  • Researched via NHUCC documents and nation-wide payscales appropriate pay levels for both pastors. Recommended step-increase for associate paster.
  • Evaluated Music Director compensation based on current work load and recommended step-increase.

Hopes for 2006-07:

  • Continue to update the processes and procedures and train the Boards and Committees in these processes
  • Work with the Treasurer to define our roles and responsibilities especially where we meet in the middle
  • Continue exploring and defining compensation packages (COLA increases; step raises; equitable pay rate for all employees; health/dental/life/disability insurance; retirement plans including 403b)
  • Revise Personnel section of church Policy and Procedure Manual
  • Review/revise job descriptions
  • Continue input to new-hire process and employee agreements where applicable
