Shawl Ministry

The Shawl Ministry continues to serve the members of First Parish Church and those connected to our church by providing comfort in times of need and celebration through knit and crocheted shawls.  Shawls have been given at weddings, upon the death of a loved one, when an individual has been ill and to commemorate the graduation of high school seniors.

Pastors Alice and Lucy have distributed more than thirty shawls.  Members of the Shawl Ministry who meet monthly and those who work at home and leave the shawls at the church office created these.  Donations from the church membership for the purchase of yarn have been appreciated.  From creation to blessing to giving of the shawls, these works pass through many hands.  They have become a gift from all of us at First Parish Church.
