Imagine ... Another World is Possible!!

Neighbors in Need is the foundation of a strong, multi-issue peace with justice movement in the United Church of Christ. It is the churches financial commitment to justice and compassion throughout the U.S.

The Neighbors in Need movement is made possible only with your help! The things that will make for peace with justice are in us! Our faith in God, our discipleship as followers of Jesus, our church communities of caring and committed people and our desire for healing the breaches among us.

The most powerful thing about Neighbors in Need is that our gifts are pooled. They can have a far bigger effect in a far larger number of areas than congregational or individual gifts .It address a whole range of social issues and concerns…poverty, economic development, human rights, peacemaking, violence, racial and economic justice, advocacy for public education and more.

Each year it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars for our churches to do effective advocacy to  reduce the effects of environmental racism like cleaning up New River in Imperial Valley just outside east San Diego.

Each year it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars for our churches to do effective advocacy to reduce the effects of violence on our children.

Each year it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars to sustain organizations that do effective universal healthcare advocacy to help people like Joletta & her husband and 2 children from Cleveland, Ohio, who were without healthcare for 2 years.

Imagine ... A world where children don’t suffer from violence
