September 2007 Newsletter

As in the past, the Music Board will be hosting a table on Rally Day for sign-ups in the various music programs. We are excited to add two new groups to our list of choirs. Please look for our table if you have an interest in any (or all!) of the following groups:

• Senior Choir — rehearsals: Thursday evenings @ 7:30
• Cherub Choir — rehearsals: after church on Sunday
• Jr. Choir — after church on Sunday
• Middle or High School Choirs — rehearsals TBD
• Brass Choir — rehearsals TBD
• Handchime Choir — after church on Sunday
• Sacred Dance Choir — Thursday evenings @ 6:30
• Strings NEW! — after church on Sunday
• Woodwind NEW! — after church on Sunday

This year, we are excited to add opportunities for String and Woodwind players. These groups will be playing in church throughout the year, but they also welcome anyone who would just like to be a part of the group and play at rehearsals, giving folks a chance to brush up on old skills or just play for enjoyment. Look for us on Rally Day and make a joyful noise!!!

June 2007 Newsletter

Hello folks, the Music Board needs one more member. The meetings are at 7pm on the fourth Tuesday of most months.  Those who are interested are encouraged to contact a member on the board.

An Anonymous Gift
Just before Christmas a four drawer locking file cabinet decorated with a red bow was left anonymously in the choir room.  Anonymous took the time to put the cabinet in place next to the present cabinet.  The new cabinet is locked so that sheet music stays safe.  Anonymous, thank you very much!

Calling all Borrowed Sheet Music and Large Song Books!
The music board is again calling for the return of all “borrowed” sheet music and large song books. You borrowers know who you are.  No questions will be asked.  Just leave the “borrowed” items on the table, which is beside the new file cabinet.
