Stewardship Campaign and Board home

The 2004 Stewardship Campaign will be conducted during February ending March 14th, Consecration Sunday. The theme of the 2004 Stewardship Campaign is

“For Where Your Treasure Is, There Your Heart Will Be Also”
--Matthew 6:21

Letters will be sent to members and friends who make up our church family asking that each person prayerfully examine their relationship to First Parish Church, how the Church serves them and how they might respond as financial stewards. Those members and friends who live too far away to attend the Consecration Sunday service March 14th will have a pledge card enclosed in their letter. Those who could attend a Consecration Sunday service will receive their pledge cards at that service.

Several members of the church family have volunteered to make brief presentations as witnessing stewards during our worship services throughout February. These witnessing stewards will represent an interesting cross section of our church family.

Also throughout February, Stewardship Board members will visit each committee and board of First Parish Church and make stewardship presentations.

Each Sunday during the Stewardship Campaign, some members of the Stewardship Board will be available at a table during the Fellowship Hour in Currier Hall to discuss various aspects or answer questions relative to stewardship.kid

A special stewardship brochure has been created by the Stewardship Board which focuses on various aspects of activities at First Parish Church requiring financial support.

On Sunday, March 14th, Consecration Sunday, Pastor Alice will preach our stewardship sermon. During the service the congregation will have the opportunity to consecrate their pledges to the work of God through First Parish Church and also to consecrate themselves as servants of God.
