Rev. Betty French lives in Contoocook, NH, with her husband, Joe. They have four children and eight grandchildren, all of whom bring them much joy. Rev. French graduated from Andover Newton Theological School in 1998, and retired in May of 2011, after having served The First Congregational Church, UCC, in Webster, NH, for nearly eleven years. Line dancing, reading, knitting, having lunch with friends and spending time with family members are among the activities that she most enjoys.
Originally from Michigan, she has lived all over the United States, and even on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, for a few months. She began her theological studies in undergrad at Calvin College, and continued her education at Princeton Theological Seminary, where she earned her Masters of Divinity. While she has served in a variety of ministry roles, such as college student chaplain, hospital chaplain, Sunday school teacher, and parish ministry intern, she is looking forward to working with the Christian Education Board and getting to know our congregation!
